VMA22

CEV1, VPH6, L000002789, YHR060W
Protein that is required for vacuolar H+-ATPase (V-ATPase) function; peripheral membrane protein; not an actual component of the V-ATPase complex; functions in the assembly of the V-ATPase; localized to the yeast endoplasmic reticulum (ER)
GO Process (2)
GO Function (1)
GO Component (1)
Saccharomyces cerevisiae (S288c)
PREY

RPS11B

ribosomal 40S subunit protein S11B, S17, rp41B, YS12, S18B, S11B, L000001758, YBR048W
Protein component of the small (40S) ribosomal subunit; homologous to mammalian ribosomal protein S11 and bacterial S17; RPS11B has a paralog, RPS11A, that arose from the whole genome duplication
Saccharomyces cerevisiae (S288c)

Negative Genetic

Mutations/deletions in separate genes, each of which alone causes a minimal phenotype, but when combined in the same cell results in a more severe fitness defect or lethality under a given condition. This term is reserved for high or low throughput studies with scores.

We generated a global genetic interaction network for Saccharomyces cerevisiae, constructing more than 23 million double mutants, identifying about 550,000 negative and about 350,000 positive genetic interactions. This comprehensive network maps genetic interactions for essential gene pairs, highlighting essential genes as densely connected hubs. Genetic interaction profiles enabled assembly of a hierarchical model of cell function, including modules corresponding to ... [more]
