PKC-3
CELE_F09E5.1, F09E5.1
pkc-3 encodes an atypical protein kinase that lacks a DAG binding domain; during early embryonic development, pkc-3 plays an essential role in establishing anterior-posterior polarity; PKC-3 localizes to the anterior periphery of the one-cell embryo in a manner dependent upon the PAR-3 PDZ domain-containing protein with which PKC-3 physically interacts; PKC-3 also localizes to the outer, apical surfaces of cells.
