KLF-1

CELE_F56F11.3, F56F11.3
klf-1 encodes a C2H2 zinc finger protein which based on homology belongs to the family of mammalian Kruppel-like transcription factors which are involved in regulation of cellular development and differentiation; klf-1 is essential for fat regulation; RNA interference studies indicate that klf-1 may also be involved in apoptosis and the phagocytosis of apoptotic cells in the uterus and germline; klf-1 is localized to the intestine in larval and adult worms.
