Interactome analysis reveals versatile functions of Arabidopsis COLD SHOCK DOMAIN PROTEIN 3 in RNA processing within the nucleus and cytoplasm.
Arabidopsis COLD SHOCK DOMAIN PROTEIN 3 (AtCSP3) shares an RNA chaperone function with E. coli cold shock proteins and regulates freezing tolerance during cold acclimation. Here, we screened for AtCSP3-interacting proteins using a yeast two-hybrid system and 38 candidate interactors were identified. Sixteen of these were further confirmed in planta interaction between AtCSP3 by a bi-molecular fluorescence complementation assay. We ... [more]

CSP3 AT5G65260 | PCA PCA A Protein-Fragment Complementation Assay (PCA) is a protein-protein interaction assay in which a bait protein is expressed as fusion to one of the either N- or C- terminal peptide fragments of a reporter protein and prey protein is expressed as fusion to the complementary N- or C- terminal fragment of the same reporter protein. Interaction of bait and prey proteins bring together complementary fragments, which can then fold into an active reporter, e.g. the split-ubiquitin assay. | Low | - | BioGRID | - |
