Identification of STS-1 as a novel ShcA-binding protein.

ShcA is a cytoplasmic signaling protein that supports signal transduction by receptor protein-tyrosine kinases by providing auxiliary tyrosine phosphorylation sites that engage additional signaling proteins. The principal binding partner for tyrosine phosphorylation sites on ShcA is Grb2. In the current study, we have used phosphotyrosine-containing peptides to isolate and identify ...
STS-1 as a novel ShcA-binding protein. Our results further show that the interaction between STS-1 and ShcA is regulated in response to EGF receptor activation.
