DPY-30
CELE_ZK863.6, ZK863.6
The dpy-30 gene encodes an essential nuclear protein required for hermaphrodite dosage compensation as well as normal male development; DPY-30 is expressed ubiquitously throughout development and can be detected in two different multiprotein complexes: the SDC complex involved in dosage compensation and a second complex containing NOX-1 (a WD repeat-containing protein) and ASH-2 (a trithorax-related protein) that is homologous to the yeast Set1p complex involved in epigenetic regulation of transcription.
