Novel protein which has a C-terminal motif weakly homologous to mouse NPDC-1 and is involved in synaptic regulation; it is expressed in various neurons including ventral cord and tail ganglion neurons; it physically interacts with AEX-3, which is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor for the Rab3 GTPase.
