The chromatin remodelers RSC and ISW1 display functional and chromatin-based promoter antagonism.
ISWI-family chromatin remodelers organize nucleosome arrays, while SWI/SNF-family remodelers (RSC) disorganize and eject nucleosomes, implying an antagonism that is largely unexplored in vivo.
