The yeast U5 snRNP coisolated with the U1 snRNP has an unexpected protein composition and includes the splicing factor Aar2p.
We describe the purification and characterization of a 16S U5 snRNP from the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae and the identification of its proteins.
