The yeast RSC chromatin-remodeling complex is required for kinetochore function in chromosome segregation.
The accurate segregation of chromosomes requires the kinetochore, a complex protein machine that assembles onto centromeric DNA to mediate attachment of replicated sister chromatids to the mitotic spindle apparatus.
