DPM1

SED3, dolichyl-phosphate beta-D-mannosyltransferase, L000000524, YPR183W
Dolichol phosphate mannose (Dol-P-Man) synthase of the ER membrane; catalyzes the formation of Dol-P-Man from Dol-P and GDP-Man; required for glycosyl phosphatidylinositol membrane anchoring, O mannosylation, and protein glycosylation
Saccharomyces cerevisiae (S288c)

ECM39, dolichyl-P-Man:Man(7)GlcNAc(2)-PP-dolichol alpha-1,6-mannosyltransferase, L000003906, YNR030W
Alpha-1,6-mannosyltransferase localized to the ER; responsible for the addition of the alpha-1,6 mannose to dolichol-linked Man7GlcNAc2, acts in the dolichol pathway for N-glycosylation

Negative Genetic

Mutations/deletions in separate genes, each of which alone causes a minimal phenotype, but when combined in the same cell results in a more severe fitness defect or lethality under a given condition. This term is reserved for high or low throughput studies with scores.

We generated a global genetic interaction network for Saccharomyces cerevisiae, constructing more than 23 million double mutants, identifying about 550,000 negative and about 350,000 positive genetic interactions. This comprehensive network maps genetic interactions for essential gene pairs, highlighting essential genes as densely connected hubs. Genetic interaction profiles enabled assembly of a hierarchical model of cell function, including modules corresponding to ... [more]
