HER2

GEP6, RRG6, glutamyl-tRNA(Gln) amidotransferase subunit HER2, LRC6, S000124020, YMR293C
Subunit of the trimeric GatFAB AmidoTransferase(AdT) complex; involved in the formation of Q-tRNAQ; required for remodeling of ER caused by Hmg2p overexpression; similar to bacterial GatA glutamyl-tRNA amidotransferase
GO Process (2)
GO Function (1)
GO Component (2)
Saccharomyces cerevisiae (S288c)
PREY

BOS1

SEC32, L000000192, YLR078C
v-SNARE (vesicle specific SNAP receptor); localized to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and necessary for vesicular transport from the ER to the Golgi; required for efficient nuclear fusion during mating
GO Process (3)
GO Function (1)
GO Component (4)
Saccharomyces cerevisiae (S288c)

Negative Genetic

Mutations/deletions in separate genes, each of which alone causes a minimal phenotype, but when combined in the same cell results in a more severe fitness defect or lethality under a given condition. This term is reserved for high or low throughput studies with scores.

We generated a global genetic interaction network for Saccharomyces cerevisiae, constructing more than 23 million double mutants, identifying about 550,000 negative and about 350,000 positive genetic interactions. This comprehensive network maps genetic interactions for essential gene pairs, highlighting essential genes as densely connected hubs. Genetic interaction profiles enabled assembly of a hierarchical model of cell function, including modules corresponding to ... [more]
