ERV14

L000004816, YGL054C
COPII-coated vesicle protein; involved in vesicle formation and incorporation of specific secretory cargo; required for the delivery of bud-site selection protein Axl2p to cell surface; related to Drosophila cornichon; ERV14 has a paralog, ERV15, that arose from the whole genome duplication
GO Process (3)
GO Function (1)
GO Component (3)
Saccharomyces cerevisiae (S288c)
PREY

NEM1

Nem1-Spo7 phosphatase catalytic subunit NEM1, YHR004C
Probable catalytic subunit of Nem1p-Spo7p phosphatase holoenzyme; regulates nuclear growth by controlling phospholipid biosynthesis, required for normal nuclear envelope morphology and sporulation; homolog of the human protein Dullard
GO Process (2)
GO Function (1)
GO Component (3)
Saccharomyces cerevisiae (S288c)

Negative Genetic

Mutations/deletions in separate genes, each of which alone causes a minimal phenotype, but when combined in the same cell results in a more severe fitness defect or lethality under a given condition. This term is reserved for high or low throughput studies with scores.

We generated a global genetic interaction network for Saccharomyces cerevisiae, constructing more than 23 million double mutants, identifying about 550,000 negative and about 350,000 positive genetic interactions. This comprehensive network maps genetic interactions for essential gene pairs, highlighting essential genes as densely connected hubs. Genetic interaction profiles enabled assembly of a hierarchical model of cell function, including modules corresponding to ... [more]
