ATG11

CVT3, CVT9, autophagy protein ATG11, L000004760, L000004756, S000029130, YPR049C
Adapter protein for pexophagy and the Cvt targeting pathway; directs receptor-bound cargo to the phagophore assembly site (PAS) for packaging into vesicles; required for recruiting other proteins to the PAS; recruits Dnm1p to facilitate fission of mitochondria that are destined for removal by mitophagy
Saccharomyces cerevisiae (S288c)
PREY

RTC1

SEA2, YOL138C
Subunit of the SEA (Seh1-associated) complex; SEA is a coatomer-related complex that associates dynamically with the vacuole; null mutation suppresses cdc13-1 temperature sensitivity; has N-terminal WD-40 repeats and a C-terminal RING motif

Negative Genetic

Mutations/deletions in separate genes, each of which alone causes a minimal phenotype, but when combined in the same cell results in a more severe fitness defect or lethality under a given condition. This term is reserved for high or low throughput studies with scores.

We generated a global genetic interaction network for Saccharomyces cerevisiae, constructing more than 23 million double mutants, identifying about 550,000 negative and about 350,000 positive genetic interactions. This comprehensive network maps genetic interactions for essential gene pairs, highlighting essential genes as densely connected hubs. Genetic interaction profiles enabled assembly of a hierarchical model of cell function, including modules corresponding to ... [more]
