Affinity Capture-Western
An interaction is inferred when a bait protein is affinity captured from cell extracts by either polyclonal antibody or epitope tag and the associated interaction partner identified by Western blot with a specific polyclonal antibody or second epitope tag. This category is also used if an interacting protein is visualized directly by dye stain or radioactivity. Note that this differs from any co-purification experiment involving affinity capture in that the co-purification experiment involves at least one extra purification step to get rid of potential contaminating proteins.

USP1-UAF1 deubiquitinase complex stabilizes TBK1 and enhances antiviral responses.
Optimal activation of TANK-binding kinase 1 (TBK1) is crucial for initiation of innate antiviral immunity and maintenance of immune homeostasis. Although several E3 ubiquitin ligases have been reported to regulate TBK1 activation by mediating its polyubiquitination, the functions of deubiquitinase on TBK1 activity remain largely unclear. Here, we identified a deubiquitinase complex, which is formed by ubiquitin specific peptidase 1 ... [more]
