Affinity Capture-Western
An interaction is inferred when a bait protein is affinity captured from cell extracts by either polyclonal antibody or epitope tag and the associated interaction partner identified by Western blot with a specific polyclonal antibody or second epitope tag. This category is also used if an interacting protein is visualized directly by dye stain or radioactivity. Note that this differs from any co-purification experiment involving affinity capture in that the co-purification experiment involves at least one extra purification step to get rid of potential contaminating proteins.

MiR-940 promotes the proliferation and migration of gastric cancer cells through up-regulation of programmed death ligand-1 expression.
Although anti-programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1) therapy has shown light in treatment of gastric cancer, only a limited number of patients respond to the treatment. In addition to its immunosuppressive effect, PD-L1 is involved in other functions of tumor cells. Previously study showed that PD-L1 promoted EMT in lung cancer cells. However, the other effect and role of PD-L1 in gastric ... [more]
