SHP1 and SHP2 protein-tyrosine phosphatases associate with betac after interleukin-3-induced receptor tyrosine phosphorylation. Identification of potential binding sites and substrates.
The cytoplasmic tyrosine phosphatases, SHP1 and SHP2, are implicated in the control of cellular proliferation and survival. Here we demonstrate that both SHP1 and SHP2 associate with the betac subunit of the human interleukin-3 (IL-3) receptor following IL-3 stimulation and that the src homology region 2 (SH2) domains of these phosphatases mediate this interaction. Sequential immunoprecipitation analyses suggest this interaction ... [more]

CSF2RB PTPN11 | Affinity Capture-Western Affinity Capture-Western An interaction is inferred when a bait protein is affinity captured from cell extracts by either polyclonal antibody or epitope tag and the associated interaction partner identified by Western blot with a specific polyclonal antibody or second epitope tag. This category is also used if an interacting protein is visualized directly by dye stain or radioactivity. Note that this differs from any co-purification experiment involving affinity capture in that the co-purification experiment involves at least one extra purification step to get rid of potential contaminating proteins. | Low | - | BioGRID | - | |
