Crystal structure of calcineurin-cyclophilin-cyclosporin shows common but distinct recognition of immunophilin-drug complexes.
Calcineurin, a Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein phosphatase, is the common target for two immunophilin-immunosuppressant complexes, cyclophilin A-cyclosporin A (CyPA-CsA) and FKBP-FK506.
