Affinity Capture-Western

An interaction is inferred when a bait protein is affinity captured from cell extracts by either polyclonal antibody or epitope tag and the associated interaction partner identified by Western blot with a specific polyclonal antibody or second epitope tag. This category is also used if an interacting protein is visualized directly by dye stain or radioactivity. Note that this differs from any co-purification experiment involving affinity capture in that the co-purification experiment involves at least one extra purification step to get rid of potential contaminating proteins.

Homoharringtonine promotes BCR?ABL degradation through the p62?mediated autophagy pathway.

Li S, Bo Z, Jiang Y, Song X, Wang C, Tong Y

Drug resistance to tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) is currently a clinical problem in patients with chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). Homoharringtonine (HHT) is an approved treatment for adult patients with chronic? or accelerated?phase CML who are resistant to TKIs and other therapies; however, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. In the present study, HHT treatment demonstrated induction of apoptosis in imatinib?resistant K562G ... [more]
