DJ-1 regulates the integrity and function of ER-mitochondria association through interaction with IP3R3-Grp75-VDAC1.
Loss-of-function mutations in DJ-1 are associated with autosomal recessive early onset Parkinson's disease (PD), yet the underlying pathogenic mechanism remains elusive.
