Affinity Capture-Western

An interaction is inferred when a bait protein is affinity captured from cell extracts by either polyclonal antibody or epitope tag and the associated interaction partner identified by Western blot with a specific polyclonal antibody or second epitope tag. This category is also used if an interacting protein is visualized directly by dye stain or radioactivity. Note that this differs from any co-purification experiment involving affinity capture in that the co-purification experiment involves at least one extra purification step to get rid of potential contaminating proteins.

TRIM47 Promotes the Development of Glioma by Ubiquitination and Degradation of FOXO1.

Wei H, Ding C, Zhuang H, Hu W

To investigate the effect of TRIM47 on glioma cells and further explore its underlying molecular mechanisms.Mouse xenograft model was used in this study. The mRNA expression of TRIM47 was detected by qRT-PCR. The cell viability and proliferation activity was detected by MTT assay and colony formation assay. The migration and invasion of glioma cells were determined by Transwell assay. The ... [more]
