Dendritic growth induced by BMP-7 requires Smad1 and proteasome activity.
Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) induce dendritic growth in cultured sympathetic neurons; however, the signaling pathways that mediate this dendrite-promoting activity have not been previously characterized.
