ATP2

F1F0 ATP synthase subunit beta, L000000142, YJR121W
Beta subunit of the F1 sector of mitochondrial F1F0 ATP synthase; which is a large, evolutionarily conserved enzyme complex required for ATP synthesis; F1 translationally regulates ATP6 and ATP8 expression to achieve a balanced output of ATP synthase genes encoded in nucleus and mitochondria; phosphorylated
Saccharomyces cerevisiae (S288c)

Co-purification

An interaction is inferred from the identification of two or more protein subunits in a purified protein complex, as obtained by classical biochemical fractionation or affinity purification and one or more additional fractionation steps.

Cryo-EM structure of the yeast ATP synthase.

Lau WC, Baker LA, Rubinstein JL

We have used electron cryomicroscopy of single particles to determine the structure of the ATP synthase from Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The resulting map at 24 A resolution can accommodate atomic models of the F(1)-c(10) subcomplex, the peripheral stalk subcomplex, and the N-terminal domain of the oligomycin sensitivity conferral protein. The map is similar to an earlier electron cryomicroscopy structure of bovine ... [more]
