Affinity Capture-Western
An interaction is inferred when a bait protein is affinity captured from cell extracts by either polyclonal antibody or epitope tag and the associated interaction partner identified by Western blot with a specific polyclonal antibody or second epitope tag. This category is also used if an interacting protein is visualized directly by dye stain or radioactivity. Note that this differs from any co-purification experiment involving affinity capture in that the co-purification experiment involves at least one extra purification step to get rid of potential contaminating proteins.

CircDIDO1 inhibits gastric cancer progression by encoding a novel DIDO1-529aa protein and regulating PRDX2 protein stability.
Circular RNAs (circRNAs) play important roles in cancer development and progression. The purpose of this study is to identify aberrantly expressed circRNAs in gastric cancer (GC), unravel their roles in GC progression, and provide new targets for GC diagnosis and therapy.Bioinformatic analyses were performed to identify the aberrantly expression of hsa_circ_0061137 (termed as circDIDO1) in GC. Gain- and loss-of-function studies ... [more]
