Affinity Capture-Western
An interaction is inferred when a bait protein is affinity captured from cell extracts by either polyclonal antibody or epitope tag and the associated interaction partner identified by Western blot with a specific polyclonal antibody or second epitope tag. This category is also used if an interacting protein is visualized directly by dye stain or radioactivity. Note that this differs from any co-purification experiment involving affinity capture in that the co-purification experiment involves at least one extra purification step to get rid of potential contaminating proteins.

MiR-337-3p confers protective effect on facet joint osteoarthritis by targeting SKP2 to inhibit DUSP1 ubiquitination and inactivate MAPK pathway.
To probe the performance of miR-337-3p on the facet joint osteoarthritis (FJOA) and its underlying mechanism.qRT-PCR and Western blot were utilized to analyze the levels of miR-337-3p and DUSP1 in the synovial tissues from 36 FJOA patients and 10 healthy controls. The human synovial fibroblasts of FJOA were isolated and cultured followed by cell transfection. Then, cells were exposed to ... [more]
