Affinity Capture-Western

An interaction is inferred when a bait protein is affinity captured from cell extracts by either polyclonal antibody or epitope tag and the associated interaction partner identified by Western blot with a specific polyclonal antibody or second epitope tag. This category is also used if an interacting protein is visualized directly by dye stain or radioactivity. Note that this differs from any co-purification experiment involving affinity capture in that the co-purification experiment involves at least one extra purification step to get rid of potential contaminating proteins.

Mechanism of OTUD5 in non-small cell lung cancer cell proliferation, invasion, and migration.

Li X, Lu B, Zhang L, Yang J, Cheng Y, Yan D

Ovarian tumor protease deubiquitinase 5 (OTUD5) has been discussed as a regulator of cancer development. Herein, the current study set out to explore the molecular mechanism of OTUD5 in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cell proliferation, invasion, and migration. Firstly, the expression patterns of OTUD5, phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN), as well as microRNA (miR)-652-3p in cells were detected by ... [more]
