Affinity Capture-Western

An interaction is inferred when a bait protein is affinity captured from cell extracts by either polyclonal antibody or epitope tag and the associated interaction partner identified by Western blot with a specific polyclonal antibody or second epitope tag. This category is also used if an interacting protein is visualized directly by dye stain or radioactivity. Note that this differs from any co-purification experiment involving affinity capture in that the co-purification experiment involves at least one extra purification step to get rid of potential contaminating proteins.

Non-SMC condensin I complex subunit H participates in anti-programmed cell death-1 resistance of clear cell renal cell carcinomas.

Chen Z, Ruan W, Guo C, Chen K, Li L, Tian J, Hu Z, Peng D, Zeng X

Non-SMC condensin I complex subunit H (NCAPH) is reported to play an important role and be a poor prognostic factor in various cancers. However, the function and regulatory mechanism of NCAPH in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) remain unknown. The roles of NCAPH on ccRCC growth were detected in vitro and in vivo assays. The regulatory mechanism of NCAPH ... [more]
