LMP-1

CELE_C03B1.12, C03B1.12
lmp-1 encodes a protein with similarity to vertebrate lysosome-associated membrane proteins CD68, and appears to be the only protein in C. elegans that has a GYXX (phi) vertebrate lysosomal targeting sequence at its carboxy terminus; LMP-1 is widely expressed in the early embryo, with later expression seen in the intestine, coelomocytes, and neurons; LMP-1 localizes to lysosomes and is recruited to phagosomes upon lysosomal fusion.

Affinity Capture-MS

An interaction is inferred when a bait protein is affinity captured from cell extracts by either polyclonal antibody or epitope tag and the associated interaction partner is identified by mass spectrometric methods.

CCAR-1 works together with the U2AF large subunit UAF-1 to regulate alternative splicing.

Lugano DI, Barrett LN, Chaput D, Park MA, Westerheide SD

The Cell Division Cycle and Apoptosis Regulator (CCAR) protein family members have recently emerged as regulators of alternative splicing and transcription, as well as having other key physiological functions. For example, mammalian CCAR2/DBC1 forms a complex with the zinc factor protein ZNF326 to integrate alternative splicing with RNA polymerase II transcriptional elongation in AT-rich regions of the DNA. Additionally, Caenorhabditis ... [more]
