Affinity Capture-Western

An interaction is inferred when a bait protein is affinity captured from cell extracts by either polyclonal antibody or epitope tag and the associated interaction partner identified by Western blot with a specific polyclonal antibody or second epitope tag. This category is also used if an interacting protein is visualized directly by dye stain or radioactivity. Note that this differs from any co-purification experiment involving affinity capture in that the co-purification experiment involves at least one extra purification step to get rid of potential contaminating proteins.

CAF-derived exosomal lncRNA FAL1 promotes chemoresistance to oxaliplatin by regulating autophagy in colorectal cancer.

Zhu S, Mao J, Zhang X, Wang P, Zhou Y, Tong J, Peng H, Yang B, Fu Q

Oxaliplatin is a widely applied anti-cancer drug in clinics for colorectal cancer (CRC) treatment. Nonetheless, the treatment efficacy is always limited by the acquisition of chemoresistance in cancer cells. The deregulation of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) FAL1 has been implicated in the tumorigenesis and progression of different malignancies. Nevertheless, the possible contribution of lnc-FAL1 in drug resistance development of CRC ... [more]
