Affinity Capture-Western
An interaction is inferred when a bait protein is affinity captured from cell extracts by either polyclonal antibody or epitope tag and the associated interaction partner identified by Western blot with a specific polyclonal antibody or second epitope tag. This category is also used if an interacting protein is visualized directly by dye stain or radioactivity. Note that this differs from any co-purification experiment involving affinity capture in that the co-purification experiment involves at least one extra purification step to get rid of potential contaminating proteins.

NEURL1 acts as a candidate suppressor in bladder cancer by down-regulating PDE9A.
Bladder cancer is a common malignancy in the genitourinary system with its incidence rate among the world's highest. Neuralized E3 ubiquitin protein ligase 1 (NEURL1) belongs to the RING E3 ubiquitin ligase family, and its role in bladder cancer has not been reported yet. We aimed to explore the expression and roles of NEURL1 in bladder cancer. The NEURL1 expression ... [more]
