USP50
Affinity Capture-Western
An interaction is inferred when a bait protein is affinity captured from cell extracts by either polyclonal antibody or epitope tag and the associated interaction partner identified by Western blot with a specific polyclonal antibody or second epitope tag. This category is also used if an interacting protein is visualized directly by dye stain or radioactivity. Note that this differs from any co-purification experiment involving affinity capture in that the co-purification experiment involves at least one extra purification step to get rid of potential contaminating proteins.

Interfering with USP50 expression inhibits macrophage pyroptosis in sepsis-induced acute lung injury by degrading NLRP3 protein.
Sepsis is a major cause of acute lung injury (ALI) characterized by inflammatory responses. Ubiquitination plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of ALI. This study aimed to investigate the role of USP50, a deubiquitinating enzyme, in sepsis-induced ALI and its underlying molecular mechanisms. THP-1 cells were differentiated into macrophages and exposed to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) to establish an in vitro ... [more]
