Traffic through late endolysosomal compartments is regulated by sequential signaling of small G proteins of the Rab5 and Rab7 families. The Saccaromyces cerevisiae Vps-C protein complexes CORVET and HOPS interact with endolysosomal Rabs to coordinate their signaling activities.
