The Prp19 complex is a novel transcription elongation factor required for TREX occupancy at transcribed genes.
Different steps in gene expression are intimately linked. In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, the conserved TREX complex couples transcription to nuclear messenger RNA (mRNA) export.
