Biochemical Activity (Phosphorylation)

An interaction is inferred from the biochemical effect of one protein upon another, for example, GTP-GDP exchange activity or phosphorylation of a substrate by a kinase. The bait protein executes the activity on the substrate hit protein. A Modification value is recorded for interactions of this type with the possible values Phosphorylation, Ubiquitination, Sumoylation, Dephosphorylation, Methylation, Prenylation, Acetylation, Deubiquitination, Proteolytic Processing, Glucosylation, Nedd(Rub1)ylation, Deacetylation, No Modification, Demethylation.

Disabled-1 (Dab1) is an adaptor protein mediating Reelin signaling in neuronal migration during brain development. Cyclin-dependent kinase 5 (Cdk5)-p35 is a proline-directed Ser/Thr kinase also involved in neuronal migration. The interaction between Dab1 and Cdk5 is in need of investigation. Dab1 was phosphorylated at Ser400 and Ser491 by Cdk5 in vivo. We search for proteins that interact with Dab1 in ... [more]
