The effects of poly(L-aspartic acid) (PLAA) on microtubule assembly and microtubule-associated protein (MAP) 2-actin interaction were examined in vitro. PLAA inhibited assembly of rat brain microtubules and induced rapid disassembly of already formed microtubules.
