Fission yeast RecQ helicase Rqh1 is required for the maintenance of circular chromosomes.
Pot1 binds to single-stranded telomere overhangs and protects chromosome ends. RecQ helicases regulate homologous recombination at multiple stages including resection, strand displacement and resolution.
