Affinity Capture-Western

An interaction is inferred when a bait protein is affinity captured from cell extracts by either polyclonal antibody or epitope tag and the associated interaction partner identified by Western blot with a specific polyclonal antibody or second epitope tag. This category is also used if an interacting protein is visualized directly by dye stain or radioactivity. Note that this differs from any co-purification experiment involving affinity capture in that the co-purification experiment involves at least one extra purification step to get rid of potential contaminating proteins.

An Essential Role of Nedd4-2 in the Ubiquitination, Expression, and Function of Organic Anion Transporter-3.

Xu D, Wang H, You G

Organic anion transporter-3 (OAT3) is a member of the organic anion transporter family that mediates the body disposition of a diverse array of clinically important drugs. We previously demonstrated that activation of protein kinase C (PKC) inhibits OAT3 transport activity by accelerating OAT3 internalization from cell surface into intracellular compartments. In the current study, we established that PKC-induced inhibition of ... [more]
