The ubiquitin-proteasome system regulates meiotic chromosome organization.
Meiotic crossover (CO) recombination is tightly regulated by chromosome architecture to ensure faithful chromosome segregation and to reshuffle alleles between parental chromosomes for genetic diversity of progeny.
