Affinity Capture-Western
An interaction is inferred when a bait protein is affinity captured from cell extracts by either polyclonal antibody or epitope tag and the associated interaction partner identified by Western blot with a specific polyclonal antibody or second epitope tag. This category is also used if an interacting protein is visualized directly by dye stain or radioactivity. Note that this differs from any co-purification experiment involving affinity capture in that the co-purification experiment involves at least one extra purification step to get rid of potential contaminating proteins.

MORC4 plays a tumor-promoting role in colorectal cancer via regulating PCGF1/CDKN1A axis in vitro and in vivo.
MORC family CW-type zinc finger 4 (MORC4) possessing nuclear matrix binding domains has been observed to be involved in multiple cancer development. By digging three gene expression omnibus (GEO) gene microarrays (GSE110223, GSE110224 and GSE24514), we found that MORC4 was overexpressed in colorectal cancer (CRC) samples (log2 Fold change >1, p?0.05). We aimed to investigate the role of MORC4 in ... [more]
